I have just started ‘seriously’ cooking during this coronavirus pandemic lockdown..lol:) Thanks to encouragement from friends who consistently post their cooking achievements on Facebook everyday. I must admit I am not a very good cook or rather a lazy cook. Hence with this lockdown, I was kinda forced to cook since all restaurants were closed and I was trying to cut down on ordering food delivery. Ahem..so with some God-given creativity, I tried this once and was very pleased it turned out deliciously yummy.
Here’s my simple pork ribs stew recipe using a slow cooker.

hourSimple and fast pork ribs stew recipe using a slow cooker.
Ingredients
1 slab of pork ribs
2 carrots
1 potato
broccoli
2 onions
2 tomatoes
2 cloves of garlic
1 tablespoon of light soya sauce
1 teaspoon of sesame oil
1 teaspoon of corn starch
1 teaspoon of sugar
1 teaspoon of salt
1 cup of water
Directions
- Add minced garlic, light soya sauce, sesame oil, corn starch, sugar and salt to marinate the pork ribs. Let it rest for 20 mins.
- Dice carrots, potato, broccoli, onions and tomatoes.
- Set the slow cooker to High and add in the marinated pork rib with diced carrots, potato, broccoli, onions and tomatoes.
- Add 1 cup of water. You can add more water if you like to have more gravy but it will dilute the taste slightly.
- Let it cook for 1 hour.
Notes
- I have tried this recipe without onions and it tastes just as good. However the onions do give the dish a bit more flavor.
